The second floor double bedroom is NOT SUITABLE for anyone with mobility issues or young children. We ask that all children over 10 years of age are supervised by parents when using the steps and only adults are permitted to sleep in the attic bedroom for safety reasons.
Lenham House is a characterful 3 bedroom seaside family home, located on Sea Wall just a stone's throw from Whitstable Beach. It is just a minute walk to popular Harbour Street's shops and restaurants and 3 minutes walk along Sea Wall to the bustling working harbour.
The house is unique in layout with spacious accommodation over four floors. It has wonderful sea views from the main lounge and king bedrooms, and a homely basement living space with woodburning stove for the winter months and leading on to an enclosed courtyard garden for your morning coffee. The house is also dog friendly and wonderfully placed to let your dogs enjoy the beach.
Ground Floor:
The front door leads you through to the entrance hall.
There is a large double room with sea views that is furnished with a kingsize bed, large chest of drawers, bedside cabinet with lamp and hanging space.
The family bathroom has a free-standing bath, basin and wc. There is then an additional wc on the half landing leading down to the basement level.
Basement Level:
The large living space in basement will become the main hub of the home for your family as there is a space for everyone.
The fully equipped kitchen has a large gas range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer dryer.
The dining area is furnished with a large marble topped table and 7 dining chairs.
The lounge area has a two seater sofa and occasional chair, coffee table, large flat screen TV with Sky and woodburning stove - perfect for those winter evenings.
In the warmer months, you can open up the French doors onto the secure courtyard garden with a table and 4 chairs perfect for a morning coffee and for your dogs to enjoy some outdoor space.
There is a downstairs wet room - perfect for when you come off the beach after a swim and enter via the side of the house through the French Doors of the basement.
First Floor:
There is a bunk bedded room with a standard single bunk bed and an extra pull out single trundle - ideal for 3 kids to sleep in or young adults. It’s furnished with a chest of drawers, wardrobe, shelf space for clothes and a free standing mirror.
The spacious lounge has beautiful sea views and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunsets or watch the world go by. Furnished with a 3 seater sofa, two occasional chairs, coffee table, flat screen TV with Sky, a Hi-Fi system with records and CDs for your to play, and family games for your all to enjoy on rainy days. There’s also a gas fire for added ambience in the cooler months.
Second Floor:
The charming attic bedroom has a king size bed, bedside cabinets with lamp, chest of drawers and a high deck with stool with a gorgeous picture window of the sea.
This room is NOT SUITABLE for anyone with mobility issues or young children as access is via steep ladder steps. We also ask that all children supervised by parents when using the ladder steps and only adults are permitted to sleep in the attic bedroom for safety reasons.
